Subject: RE: BS: Thailand, Surat Thani Night Ferry ???? From: Mr Red Date: 04 Mar 06 - 07:09 AM Hotel Booking on the internet - innit easy ? er not always some (the cheapest agency) have cancellation pages. Some don't and don't answer e-mails - guess you just book again and lapse the original. Surat Thani is definitely not a tourist trap but as a Folkie that is just fine - people and what the common man does are just as interesting for 12 hours. Someone suggested a floorshow with Ladyboys was not to be missed. Well that is a bit of culture I can miss quite happily - even once. I prefer real men - like Morris - and I don't pay to see them! |

I had come to that conclusion and I might see a bit of the local town life night/next day - only need to be at Samui/Chaeweng Beach by late afternoon / early evening. Like the sound of the hotel called Moby Dick (or is it the Prints of Whales?) |

Subject: RE: BS: Thailand, Surat Thani Night Ferry ???? From: Les from Hull Date: 01 Mar 06 - 08:32 AM I suppose it depends where you are going, there is more than one route. In fact I think there is more than one terminal. When we crossed to Koh Samui it was only about 4 hours, but that was daytime. |
