Subject: happy? - Mar 7 (Telephone pat. /RR Bill) From: Abby Sale Date: 07 Mar 06 - 08:23 AM Alex G Bell received the telephone patent on 3/7/1876. His first successful test ("Mr Watson, come here. I want you.") was a few days later on March 11th. It was a Good Thing as the critters wouldn't otherwise have had a place to sit and sing:
ALSO: Morris Slater, railroad worker, railroad robber and killer was finally shot dead in a grocery store on 3/7/1897 at about age 40. In his exploits and escapes, he became known as 'Railroad Bill.'
