Yeah, but I think it has been that way for a long time.

That's not a bad thing though. Folks use it to share info on what's on, meet ups, and then talk about it later, that sort of thing.

This is the only chat forum I participate in (I'm a happy web traveller) where people seem obsessed with/have a deep need to control and regulate the behavior of their fellow posters.

Possibly one of the factors is our discussion forum now being viewed as used as a chat room?

A couple hours to kill online, Giok. I haven't been busy here in ages.

But I'm off to the garden, the farmer's market and other destinations soon. Then you can all rip me apart.

I know you need a good scapegoat what with Martin being gone, and Joe being so busy outing Carol and Jack for his springtime amusement.

Apparently, he's grown tired of harrassing Shambles. I'm just not here often enough for Joe and the clones to bother with anymore.

And besides, my behavior is impeccable when compared to Martin.

But then, I'm proud to say I'm still more loathed around here than Martin. Martin is actually a pretty popular guy around here, and a lot of Mudcat regulars seem to genuinely like the guy.

I'm not surprised.

Typical answer Bill D by one who is so politically correct and so easily offended.

'behavior' is a broad term. And all generalizations are inaccurate..☺

Whazzup wit' dat? Is it the nature of the folk here? The nature of the software set up? The nature of the owner/moderators? A combination of all three?

I've often wondered what it is about Mudcat that makes people with control issues flock here.
