Subject: RE: Licencing Songs for UK Recording From: Willa Date: 21 Apr 06 - 04:47 PM Thanks, Joe, for starting this thread for me. I have contacted MCPS/PRS about the songs I want to record and they're helpful; I wasn't sure whether they covered US songs too. |

Subject: Licencing Songs for UK Recording From: Joe Offer Date: 21 Apr 06 - 12:53 AM When I get licenses for Debby McClatchy's recordings, I go to the Harry Fox Agency at songfile.com - but they grant licenses only for recordings made and sold in the U.S. Somebody asked me how to get permission to record U.S. songs in the UK - but I'd be interested in knowing how one goes about getting licencing for recording any song in the UK. Does the UK have a clearinghouse like songfile.com? -Joe- |
