Over a year after the last posting on this list. I've returned from a Penny Lang, Dave Clark house concert at Shadygrove (www.shadygrove.ca), home of Peter Sussman and Barbara Jones. Wonderful evening. Dave's guitar work is stunning. If Penny's vocal work were wine, it would be rich, full-bodied, mature yet sometimes rough, with hints of Jane Tabor, and even Richard Thompson on Stone & Sand.

Magic...it was one of those incredible evenings that was such a gift. Two of the most wonderful folk musicians in one living room, and a wonderful audience. What a night!

My husband and I put on 2 or 3 house concerts a year in our living room. Tonight we're having a house concert with Penny Lang and Dave Clarke. Fellow Canadians will know how exciting this is...and non-Canadians might perhaps give them a good look-listen!
