Subject: Jimmyt in the UK From: GUEST Date: 16 Oct 06 - 12:20 PM Thanks to all my friends in Banbury! We had a grand time there with you all and I had hoped to get to see a few more but alas we are travelling in the Lake District right now. Weather is glorius and tyhe scenery is as spectacular as any I have seen. Last evening we were staying in a hotel and I struck up a conversation with a gentleman who was DUdley Moore's piano teacher way back when. A very charming gentleman named Peter Cork, who has written a biography of Moore. He is a composer and a fine pianist as well and he humored my attempts to play a bit of whistle along with him. I was ok on the Skye Boat Song but faided a bit on tea for two! grin (Eat your heart out Leadfingers) Still may get up to ullapool to see giok. jimmyt |
