Subject: RE: BS: Intellipedia? From: GUEST,pattyClink Date: 03 Nov 06 - 09:35 AM U.S. News & WR had an article on these efforts to improve CIA & the new center for coordinating terrorist stuff (I forget its acronym, N-something) It's scary that they are going to be letting every tom dick & abdullah contribute info to a wiki. But apparently it's even scarier if a bunch of career intel guys huddle together underground sharing secure, classified, but incredibly wrong, narrowminded, 'groupthink' info. They desperately want to include real data from the real world in their networks, and they can either do it themselves or have it happen in unsecure places as analysts try to get the real data. Apparently secrecy has not been working too well, they have to open some windows. |

Subject: BS: Intellipedia? From: JohnInKansas Date: 03 Nov 06 - 01:26 AM Officially announced, but not yet open to the public: Intellipedia. So henceforth, our national security (US), and possibly that of the UK, Canada, and Australia, with contributions from China(?), depends on a pilfered version of the Wiki program ... . But maybe they'll have some realistic checks on accuracy ... ????? ... Or not. It could be an improvement either way. John |
