Subject: RE: lyr.req. ocarolans tribute From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 21 Jan 07 - 10:07 PM The words have been posted here before (mercifully, not too often), and can easily be found via the onsite search engine if you search for a short phrase you already know: played for kings, among other options, will do the trick. See thread Blind Man O'Carolan |

Subject: RE: lyr.req. ocarolans tribute From: Jim Dixon Date: 21 Jan 07 - 09:39 PM O'CAROLANS TRIBUTE is on "The Sound of the Fureys & Davey Arthur," Polydor LP 2490160, 1980. It's also on a various-artists compilation called "All the Folk That Fits," Polydor 2-LP set #2668026, 1981. Those albums are apparently out of print, and I couldn't find any lyrics or sound samples. A German-Irish band called The Cluricaune also perform this song, and they have a sound sample at their web site, but it would be difficult for me to transcribe. |
