OHHH Thank you so much everyone. It's so much fun getting greetings from all over.
Dave - we haven't heard from Andrew. Hildebrand tends to enjoy pottering around at home. All those years on the road, all that restlessness. We never know when someone might remember him and book him for a festival - but he's never been much interested in promoting himself.
Fires were close but down wind. Terrible for the wildlife (again). Yellow-bellied gliders, red-tailed black cockies, smokey mice and the not-so-rare - like koalas.

freda I hope we will get to see each other. We have vague plans for a train trip up North -- so it might be hello Sandra and Jenny and Jenny and you.

What a nice warm glow I'm feeling - and it's not the weather for a change. There's rain filling our tanks.

I hope the fires have stayed well away from your door & that you & Hildebrand are well & happy.

One question, are you going to Andrew Pattisons concerts in March?
I am sorely tempted by Ralph McTell but my surgeon is saying No right now! It is a bummer - it is over 4 months since I destroyed the elbow & I still can't get an estimate as to when I can drive or work again.

But I hope you get a chance to hear what I will miss.

Well how about that - another Aquarian! I never met an Aquarian I didn't like. My son is an Aquarian - in fact it was his birthday on the 24th too.

I was so busy getting ready for his birthday party that day, that I hardly had time to look at the 'cat and missed your birthday - and you a former Christmas elf too. Bad Jenny! Anyway, I hope you don't mind a belated Birthday Banner:

Since this started up as an "Obit" thread, maybe it's time to sing you a chorus of My Get Up and Go Has Got Up and Went:

I get up each morning and dust off my wits
Open the paper and read the obits
If I'm not there, I know I'm not dead
So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed

How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get up and go has got up and went
In spite of it all, I'm able to grin
When I think of the places my get up has been!!!


Hope your "get up" has been going. I hope you enjoyed the day, whether it was yesterday, today, or whenever. With you in Australia, how the hell are we supposed to know when your birthday is/was/will be?
