I'm thinking that it must be something like that Vulcan greeting...

...it's kind of amusing that some people can't splay their fingers as Spock does while greeting, "Live long and prosper". You know? ...where he splays his fingers between the middle and ring fingers?

It's one of the "pat-your-head-while-rubbing-your-stomach" things that some people seem to have no problem with, and others just cannot do.

Well, I've got a guitar-related "vulcan greeting" confounding me.

I have tried off and on for years, sometimes spending hours at a time just going over, and over, and over, and over...playing this passage non-stop.

I've slowed it down to a crawl. That helps. I can do it that way but to be perfectly honest, even going slow does not guarantee that I will be able to play it cleanly.

I've played it at the requisite 200 bpm too -- even played it cleanly up to speed, though I knew it was just dumb luck. I can't do it at will.

Is this passage difficult for anyone else here?
