New figures out today. In the UK 20% of young people between 16 and 24 have no job.....1 million young folks!

If that does not make us angry....very angry! nothing will!

There is another thread here saying that we sould be patient and kind to our politicians....people like Mr Obama sooth us with meaningless platitudes....did anyone really listen to that speech....so long to say nothing, other than "dont rock the boat" and "vote for reason"

Well I think the time for reason has passed, the die is cast, only the most partisan supporters of Party Politics believe that the whole political and economic system is not warped and corrupt.

Now is the time for righteous anger....the robbery that Alan mentions is continuing.....and gathering pace.
Now they are robbing our children of the means to exist,
our old people of medical services, The students of any chance of equality of opportunity....and this is only the end of the beginning.

The problem is, that after a while, the battle for survival replaces the battle against the oppressors.....so we must not allow the "words which slip so easily from the tongue, that they are hardly worth the saying at all" to divert us from the actions which are required.

I am amazed by the attitude of the Americans here, they seem to believe that Mr Obama can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, instigate change and reverse the economic and social decline.
Are they all mad? Mr Obama's presidency has been a series of disappointments....Continuing and providing additional funding for two wars which cannot be won....and which have reduced two countries to corpe littered wastelands....bailing out the financial system with our money, not to improve the system, but simpy to set it up again exactly as it was, with no guarantee that should it be revived, it will not collapse again in two or three years.
Preside over massive unemployment rates, with certainly worse to come.

Present to the country, a health policy written by the insurance corporations, rather than stand and fight them as he should have done
Where is the change?
I said years ago Mr Obama is joined at the hip to the system and will change exactly what the system allows him to change

Today our respective nations need conviction, guts, and ideals which we can all subscribe to.......not weasel words, platitudes and poisonous policies.

This American, for one, does not believe that for a second. Boss Hog is systematically squeezing out the middle class, and Obama is complicit. The intent is to return society to a quasi-feudal, pre-WWII, robber baron oligarchy.

Alternatives? I quite like dirigisme socialism and communism (not fascist soi-disant communism) but that sort of excites the "land of the free" (freedom, what freedom?)

Capitalism in "developed" countries cannot be regulated,that is the inherent problem of this economic system.

To survive the system must produce growth people must continue to spend on goods and services, before too long the standard of living engendered becomes unsustainable.

The tipping point occurred over five years ago, this system is now in serious decline....be warned.
If you dont want your children to inherit a living nightmare, start thinking alternatives now!

Forget all your minority issues, forget left and right, banish Party Politics..... concentrate on constructing a new way of life, which is sustainable and "spiritual"....in the true meaning of the word.

If we are unwilling to change, our children and grandchildren are likely to live in a world of poverty, brutality and hopelessness.

Do you not see a difference in the structure of society from that time 'till now?

Society has changed out of all recognition.
Most importantly, in the life expectancy of the population, diagnosis and treatment of disease and medical problems, the obsolescence of labour.
There used to be a huge pool of workers, all contributing to the tax revenue of the country....today only those on PAYE contribute the tax for which they are liable.....usually they are the lowest paid.

Capitalism evolves until it ruptures at the seams.
Dont look now, but our hernia is showing.

BTW these changes in society did not come about by accident, but to serve the system.
