Good thing he wasn't interested in modern jet fighters and missile systems. Will books be the next object of scrutiny by police and other 'security' folks who belong to departments known by their initials?

On the bright side, the incompetent people who reported Vance Gilbert may have given his music career a shot in the arm.

I think United Airlines is in for a very rough ride on this one. And it may also make some people think of another incident with a broken guitar.

The friendly skies ain't so friendly anymore. Well, not if you're Black and like to read.

And books! We ALL know about those people that read books. It's best to buy a copy of People magazine so you can hide the book you're reading at the airport.

It would be too much for the airline people to take a moment to pick up the mic and tell the plane there was a misunderstanding on their part and apologize to all passengers, in particular the innocent party they singled out.

Yup. Way too much. But the best revenge can be a well-written blog and new coverage to follow.
