I found some other threads but I dunno if they are fitting... if so, I hope a mod combines this thread with one of them.

Yesterday afternoon, I took Mum to the Atlantic Superstore grocery downtown. We seldom go to that store. On the way home, I was stopped in traffic directly in front of The Moncton Denture Clinic. She noted she hadn't been there in many, many years and hoped she would be lucky enough to never have to go back.

For supper, I served a tender de-boned rib steak, boiled spuds, broccoli and canned Peaches & Cream corn nibblets. All tender and soft. Yup... cracked her top plate between the incisors.

HOW IN HECK DID THAT HAPPEN???

Of course, they were obviously ready to let go just from being in use for so many years, but a couple of hours after being in front of the clinic? It's enough to piss an old lady off BIG time. The plate will be fixed and ready to go at 1PM... thank goodness!

Glad it was nothing more serious.

I haven't read all the threads, but just how many are about steaks and dentures?

Yes. Combine with what? Bacon and ice cream? Blueberries? Cakes? Is there a food theme here or just a meat theme?

SRS

A clinic is tough business nowadays. If a car with a senior citizen in it stops right in front of such an institution, you must be alert that they re-bone your rib steak.

Methinks they are pulling your leg, gnu.

For the record, this kind of coincidence has often happened to me. Fortunately it happens in a benign way more often than not- but we have all heard of a string of 'bad luck' overwhelming an individual. A mysterious law seems to be in effect- but who made the law? :)
