People dying from the current COVID-19 plague, and now this! As if having the Idaho State Legislature and Governor weren't disaster enough! (The area involved is pretty much empty of human habitation.)

The current swarms of locusts are affecting Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Eritrea and most recently, Tanzania and Uganda. With the queing due to covid-19 other victims will have to wait their turn.

A couple years ago I took a cruise on the Columbia River, and to prepare for it I read a book called 'The Restless Northwest.' A big chunk of Idaho is part of the restless Northwest, and so are parts of British Columbia, though I suppose Canadians would call them the Restless Southwest.

The Northwest has been scorched by volcanoes, crashed into by alien terranes, shaken by earthquakes and ground down by glaciers. My husband wrote his master's thesis on a small bit of Idaho in the 1970's, so I'm interested in the place. Back then nobody really knew what was going on.

Just consider that the uplift and the thrusting that raised all of Idaho's beautiful mountain ranges was always accompanied by earthquakes.

We ignore earthquakes in Utah. They simply aren't comme il faut, you know. Those Utards take credit for simply everything. We hardly speak to or of them save when they come to play at our casinos, and then only to relieve them of the weight of excess money (it's a Good Turn).

No. It is the site of a hitherto unknown fault, though. An Undocumented Fault! I thought the President was keeping Undocumenteds out of the country!
