Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 23 Jul 07 - 04:19 PM I try not to be a sponge, even in my most self-absorbed moments, out on the porifera of things. Last year I was accused of bringing rain to England, I'll see What I can get accused of this time over. And if any of the people I might stay with or meet up with have anything they actually want me to bring over from the US, let me know in advance. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Morticia Date: 23 Jul 07 - 04:49 PM Sev, me darlin', you should come to Wareham.....you would like it, and I and others ( Pixie, Phot, Herga Kitty, Cats and a cast of many) would be there. Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Sorcha Date: 24 Jul 07 - 06:20 PM Sev, I am GREEN with envy. Now, buddy, what you need is a couple dogs to mind, (and NO, Miss Molly isn't enough) a couple kids to move back home to support, and a wife who SHOPS. Then you wouldn't have to spend all this money gallivanting about. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 24 Jul 07 - 06:34 PM Sorcha, Been there, done all of that, and the lawyer got the T-shirt. I seem to remember seeing pictures of a fairly legendary UK trip you made a few years ago, and I remember having envied that! Who's to say I won't meet that beautiful shopaholic with the childern and dogs over there? |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 25 Jul 07 - 06:08 PM No Giok, I'd rather be the Man Who Burst The Banks In Monte Carlo, rather than overdraw Severn's banks on account of the Bank Holiday burden I bore to overflowing tiers. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: John MacKenzie Date: 26 Jul 07 - 03:43 AM Never mind me old wordsmith, I'm sure that your visit to Whitby et all will calm you down, if not restore your banks, but you will have a levée. Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: My guru always said Date: 22 Aug 07 - 08:29 AM Far as I know Emma's passing Severn to Leadfingers on Tuesday, then over to us on Wednesday evening. He'll be travelling to Wareham with us but who knows where he'll be after that???? |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Linda Kelly Date: 22 Aug 07 - 03:42 PM We won't ask him how drunk he was when I met him yesterday -we won't ask him or Emma or Giok how much they drunk -we won't ask him what he felt like this morning or how much Jim Beam was left-we won't ask him any of these questions because frankly, he probably won't remember! Have a great stay and nice to see you again. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: gnu Date: 22 Aug 07 - 06:14 PM Sev will remember. I dare say he may have been a tad tipsy, but, I don't believe he "tips" that much. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Leadfingers Date: 22 Aug 07 - 06:34 PM Can someone tell hime to switch his mobile on ? Or did he get it with a flat battery ? I expect to see him at Towersey anyway!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 22 Aug 07 - 06:40 PM Ah... I thought I was getting him between Towersey and Wareham... but whatever - I'll have space in the car coming back from Wareham but not going. Don't ask how it worked out that way, it just did OK?! LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Leadfingers Date: 25 Aug 07 - 04:58 AM John - So do I , but all I get is voicemail - I bet the battery is flat !! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: John MacKenzie Date: 25 Aug 07 - 05:23 AM I have made enquiries via his 'Minder' as to the state of his phone. My guess is he hasn't figured out how to work it! G |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: My guru always said Date: 25 Aug 07 - 03:15 PM I can confirm that he has his mobile phone with him and he has received a call on it today. My guess is, if he didn't know how to use it before, he's learning. My next suggestion regarding his mobile phone is that he tries the 'silent/vibrate' facility, especially when in the middle of a Singaround! LtS: Apologies for the histrionic handbags in the car park, but I can confirm that you will be welcome to Severn after or even during Wareham. Unless Severn has already double-booked himself of course!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Mrs.Duck Date: 25 Aug 07 - 03:57 PM Met up with them briefly in Whitby. Enjoy the rest of your stay Severn. |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: vectis Date: 26 Aug 07 - 03:42 PM He's planning to come down to stay a while with me at some point but I'm not totally sure when but I'm easy there's always room for one more here. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: vectis Date: 26 Aug 07 - 03:45 PM Forgot to say that I met him in Whitby at the Endeavour and he'd brought a lovely T shirt and CD over for me. Thank you very much Severn. Hope to see you soon. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Herga Kitty Date: 27 Aug 07 - 06:29 AM I had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Severn in the Endeavour in Whitby last week and the Three Horsheshoes barn in Towersey yesterday - and he'll be escorting Jack to Verwood next weekend for the Wail. Kitty |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Splott Man Date: 28 Aug 07 - 08:13 AM Severn, Sorry we missed you at Whitby. Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 28 Aug 07 - 02:27 PM So did anyone actually take him home from Towersey, or is he still wandering the streets of Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire with a smelly dog in a carrier bag and a bemused expression of 'where did they all go'? I'm happy to give you a lift from Wareham Sev - but the dog goes on the roofrack, OK?! LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: My guru always said Date: 28 Aug 07 - 05:57 PM Ah, forgot about the smelly dog, not sure how the foxes will get on with him. We'll pop him outside in the garden overnight & see what happens..... |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 30 Aug 07 - 03:37 AM Then he comes back to London with me... from whence to a place we know not. And I'm not taking that damned Jack hound back either! LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: My guru always said Date: 04 Sep 07 - 05:48 AM Hopefully Severn is now safely ensconced with LtS & probably getting to see vectis for a day out on the South Coast - good luck with the squirty ice cream hunt!! Missed the goodbye hugs at Wareham, ah well, hang on to them till your next visit Severn. Enjoy the rest of your stay & safe journey! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 04 Sep 07 - 06:07 AM Ahhh, Liz. You DID take Jack back, as is realted on other threads. Last I saw of you was at a Sussex crossroads with that very hellhound on YOUR trail, but with you saying you were trying to rehab him to at least a heck hound. Lotsa luck. I double checked my luggage for the old double switcheroo, but it looks like I'm totally Jack free at last. That means I can merely LEAVE your country while Jack continues to FLEA the country and you have to start from scratch all over again. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 04 Sep 07 - 06:42 PM Not for long, he's scheduled for the detox deep cleanse and water massage tomorrow. LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: vectis Date: 04 Sep 07 - 06:51 PM AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! Not the WATER......... But the massage now...... aaahhh he'll love that the little pervert. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: SINSULL Date: 04 Sep 07 - 06:57 PM Suggestion. Put Jack in a large plastic bag and fill it with water while keeping the top closed. The fleas will drown and not jump off on to you. He is a nasty looking thing. Seamus gets grotty but never that grotty. Ask Severn to do his little ditty about JFK. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 04 Sep 07 - 11:03 PM He's not actually flea-ridden, just ... well.... rancid. The detox session should take care of that. We are talking about Jack aren't we, and not Severn? LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 05 Sep 07 - 04:01 AM Talking about Jack, of course! Jack will be detox of de town! On a bus back toward London this morning, Brighton early! Back into a state of Hayes in no time. Coffe will cure that, I suspect...... |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 05 Sep 07 - 04:37 AM Your shirt has been found Sev, it was camoflaged on the back of door, rather like Randall in 'Monsters Inc'. Will try to get it back to you tonight, if not, will post it home for you. LTS |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Morticia Date: 05 Sep 07 - 06:05 AM If it's the blue and green one Sev wore at Wareham, I spect he would like me to have it, wouldn't you, Sev? *grin* |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 05 Sep 07 - 07:14 AM I get first dibs - rent you know!!! Besides, you know green isn't your colour, it clashes with your eyes. LTS |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: GUEST,Cats at work Date: 05 Sep 07 - 11:30 AM Good to meet you at Wareham, Sev. Would somebody please give him a clotted cream tea before he goes back... He didn't try the cream at Wareham and you have to admit, it's a once in a lifetime experience... or in some cases a daily experience... Just listen to those arteries hardening! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 05 Sep 07 - 12:59 PM I was hoping that I'd end up with the women fighting over ME rather than my lost shirt. Oh well. Maybe I'll come over a few pounds lighter next time. |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Leadfingers Date: 07 Sep 07 - 04:57 AM Right !! Just back from throwing him out of the car outside Terminal Three at Heathrow , following an excellent evening at maidenhrad last night ! Look out Maryland , he's on his way back ! |

Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 07 Sep 07 - 06:38 AM So sorry I didn't manage to get your shirt back to you Sev, but I am affected by a slight touch of plague this week. To be perfectly honest, Jack has taken it to Detox with him. He said he liked the colours but it smelled funny. I explained that that is what 'clean' smells like but he wasn't having it. When he comes out of Detox, I'll make sure it's fumigated and restored to its usual state before mailing it on to you. Make sure you PM me your present address. LTS |

Thanks to all! |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Liz the Squeak Date: 08 Sep 07 - 05:11 AM You're welcome Sev, and you're welcome back anytime. If only to apologise and pick up your shirt, which fits beautifully, I must say! LTS :) |
Subject: RE: BS: Severn revisits the UK From: Severn Date: 08 Sep 07 - 10:40 AM It now feels like the USA again and not UnPack-istan. It seems that if I'd have brought both the green shirt I left behind and the "Death By Accordian" T-shirts from Leftydee in any sort of volume, I could have paid for the whole trip at Wareham alone! It's in the 80's and 90's here, as opposed to your quaint English summers, and I'll have the need of short sleeve shirts for some time so I can "Wareham out" over here. (Hint, Hint!)....... Just unscrew the cap of the bourbon, Terry, and Giok will hear the noise from wherever and show up at the door by the time the first glass is poured. |
