Subject: RE: BS: for Spaw Snow Dog From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 09 Feb 14 - 09:21 PM We've had a lot of snow lately, so much so that we re-scheduled our early music session because it's so hard to get to a parked car. I'm so glad I'm not a dog. Guest, thanks for the cute pic. |

Subject: RE: BS: for Spaw Snow Dog From: GUEST,cookieless sandra in sydney Date: 09 Feb 14 - 09:32 PM years ago someone posted a link to a diary of life in a very snowy suburb/town in North America. Items in the yard like cars & 6' fences etc, slowly disappeared under the normal winter snow. Householder puts on skis to visit neighbours, loyal dog follows (looking like the dog in old dude's pic), cat takes a look & says 'Ya gotta be joking' or maybe 'Stupid Dog' before returning to the fire. I wish I'd kept the link cos the daily pics fascinated me. sandra (who has only once seen snow after travelling hundreds of miles to the Snowy Mountains) |

Subject: RE: BS: for Spaw Snow Dog From: Ebbie Date: 09 Feb 14 - 11:52 PM Here in Juneau, Alaska, we've had no new snow since early January (bizarre!) but when we had a fairly deep snowfall in November, I scraped out a patch about 4 feet square and that's where all the dogs 'went'. Deep snow *is* a problem for dogs- especially for my little Chinese Crested. He objects to freezing his little bare bottom. |

Subject: RE: BS: for Spaw Snow Dog From: Bill D Date: 10 Feb 14 - 11:31 AM "...write his name in the snow of the South Pole?" In shorthand I'd hope. (what if his name was Joseph Wolfschleglesteinhauserbergerdorff? Oh.. I suppose he'd just write "Joe".) |
