Subject: BS: 'Stardust' movie -- what fun! From: michaelr Date: 14 Aug 07 - 05:56 PM Just saw it. Haven't been this entertained since LOTR. It does not follow the book TOO slavishly, but it's very well done and preserves the spirit of Gaiman's book quite well. It's touching and funny, and the visual effects are great. Recommended! (For older kids, too; it's rated PG-13) Cheers, Michael |

Another embarassing moment for my husband! He usually picks up the movies, and is always having to pick up the better children's flicks for me. ;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: 'Stardust' movie -- what fun! From: JeremyC Date: 16 Aug 07 - 11:44 AM American Gods has got to be unfilmable. But I could be wrong--there have been a lot of films made from 'unfilmable' material. Glad to hear Stardust is good. I love the book. I'll probably catch the film sooner or later. |
