Subject: RE: English (Concertina) International From: EBarnacle Date: 29 Aug 08 - 06:39 PM I had a session with Mr. Matusewitch shortly after I got my instrument. He had originally imported it for one of his students and was disappointed that the student had not persevered. In fact, there was almost no sign of use. He was far beyond my skill level [even at present] but was very patient. |

Subject: RE: English (Concertina) International From: Alan Day Date: 30 Aug 08 - 02:32 AM Interesting EBarnacle, Gregori Matusewitch was part of a very musical and famous family. The information for him in the booklet, that accompanies this collection, came from an interesting article by his nephew Eric.Easily found by Googling The Matusewich family. At about the same time Gregori was on stage there was another Baltic player Raphael working the American Music Hall, unknown to most, including me until I did this collection, he was an incredible player.Have you heard of him or have any information?
