Warhols painting of Michael Jackson will soon be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

It will without a doubt go for an unprecedented amount of money.

Interesting how the aesthetic value and the monetary value of a painting seem to be inversely proportional ...

Yer right! He was no Gainsborough, but it's a much better painting than some of his other stuff. It's all about taste. I think that much of what van Gogh painted was inspired by preschoolers or chimps!

Banksy, the Bristol graffiti artist, has painted a terrific picture of Michael Jackson, though I think fans of MJ are unlikely to want to buy the original. It is in the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery at the moment, though I don';t know if anyone has put it on Youtube or anything.

I tell you what, our Dean Frogprince there is one heck of an artist. i would rather have one of his than any warhol ..He was ok but never really pressed my buttons very much except his monroe one

Never did a thing for me, any of his. If I had one I'd sell it and use the money to buy something else.

I am not a fan of Warhol the "artist." He was an excellent draftsman but his work mostly consisted of reproductions of others' work or of "things that are art because I say they are art." His work is a tribute to the amplifying effect of publicity over originality.
