Australian Customs have issued a regulation that entrants to Australia have to declare is they are carrying "Pornography". The critical legal problem is that the word 'pornography' is NOT DEFINED in the legislation, thus all sorts of problems arise. You see only certain items are 'refused classification' - if it can be classified as R or X, etc, it can be imported. If not, it is illegal. So you 'must declare it', have them look at it and decide if it is 'classified or not', they may confiscate it, and if you don't declare it (this includes anything digital, on a camera or laptop too), you have committed a crime!

So The Australian Sex Party, formed - no not for endless sex - for keeping governments and Fundy wack job pseudo Religos out of people's bedrooms and lives - have brought out some 'luggage stickers' that say "Get your own Porn!".... :-)

Google away for the full story... it is supposed to be for 'child porn' only, but that's not what it says....

Bill, YouTube may delete porn, but there are plenty of other places to spread the confiscated "home-grown" porn around the internet.

Stringsinger, that is twaddle. Drugs are chemically addictive, whereas the most that could be said of porn is that it is psychologically addictive. And drugs don't get your rocks off.

Genie....that's the real point. It is no longer possible to 'confiscate' porn. If it is up for 2 days, a few thousand will have copied it. All 'authorities' can do is force it to move about, and rarely, to arrest one of the more egregious producers.

The cleverer ones set up servers in countries where laws and enforcement are lax. There is no way I can even imagine to truly 'control' distribution.... all efforts need to be directed toward those who produce the really sick stuff....meaning rape, torture, kids.

We're gonna have to learn to shrug at just 'weird' stuff...
