Now Christmas has come
Let us beat up the drum
And call all the people together
And when they get here
We will give them such cheer
As will keep out the wind and the weather.

The verse that Toadfrog supplied above is quoted in a book titled "The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent." by Washington Irving, 1819-20. It is in the chapter called "Christmas Eve." This chapter contains another verse which, although it is quoted at a different point in the story, seems to go with the first -- at least it has the same meter:

Come, bring with a noise,
My metric, merrie boys,
The Christmas Log to the firing;
While my good dame, she
Bids ye all be free,
And drink to your hearts' desiring.

The same story contains lots more verse, but a quick browse through didn't reveal any more that seems to be part of the same poem.

The words "Jones … rattle … bones" reminded me of the song "Alabama Jubilee," of which 2 or more versions exist in old threads, here and here. It has been recorded many times, notably by Gid Tanner and His Skillet Lickers, Mance Lipcomb, Chet Atkins, Hank Snow, Doc Watson, Leon Redbone, and Merle Travis.
