At this very moment the representatives of the vast majority of the human race are bickering and squabbling over money vs the survival of not only our species but countless others. What we are witnessing is the human race proving it's not so clever. It can't manage itself, it's resources, it's population because an elite few are so greedy they're willing to see millions die and suffer.

So when you see people drowning in Bangladesh, farmers moving out the American MidWest due to drought, the flooding of Pacific islands and displacement of it's people, remember this is the moment when we didn't step up to the challenge.

You're no longer a citizen, you're a consumer and your opinion doesn't matter.

At least one good thing in all this is that if the Earth dies (and all Mankind with it), before we manage to colonise another Planet, then it is only the one Planet we have destroyed with our greed etc.

If anything, the American Midwest is sodden. There has been so much water this year that only now are crops finally being harvested.

Sometimes things have to get real, real bad before people do good things... I think we are quickly approaching that point... Whether or not we will do the right thing remains to be seen but I have hope that we will...

As Mc Grath says, the Earth can regenerate, it has plenty of time. The emphasis is wrong, it's not "Save the Planet" it should be "Save The Human Race".

"Non-binding" is the key word here. In other words, it's just smoke. Just like the health care reform plan, and the pretty speech Obama gave accepting his Nobel Peace prize.

The man is a fraud, and it's business as usual. I hate to say I told you so, but...

Ah well, the US and China stitched everyone else up because of money and the rich countries have just sold the poorest people in the world right down the line.

Say what you want, but the final victory of capitalism is the suffering of the voiceless millions. A great day for the human race.

Big business and greed. Greedy very wealthy people who want more as usual. They must think they won't die along with peasants !! Capilaism has nothing really going for it, just the greed of wanting more at the expense of others. Sad
