I was unable to locate the song on Youtube and also unable to find lyrics, although one site said they were talking with the publisher about getting the lyrics. So, unless someone has the CD, it may prove very difficult to locate.

There was (and is) a large Italian population in Montreal where I lived when this song was a hit back in the early 1970s. I had many Italian friends and they turned me onto the song. Over the years I have on and off meant to learn it and sing it. I realize it's a big job to translate it and there is no hurry--I have waited 39 years, so a while longer is no problem. It is also the New Years season and you have family, so if you can help later in the new year I would be very grateful to you.

I'm sure he says 'Hides the sadness of your eyes'. However, if I were going to sing it I would change it to 'Hides the sadness of your sighs' to avoid the eyes/eyes repetition. But that's just me.
