Yes, time to kill that hog and stuff that turkey, and expect your grocery to get its fruit and vegetables from Baja Transylvania.

I'm a little late, it being the end of the day and all...

Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian friends.

I was gonna add a nice video, but I could only find this one, which really isn't appropriate.

May you celebrate well!

2 turkeys died this year, that others and I might live.

Bow your heads for a moment of silence, please.

Thanks, Jeri. Haven't seen that vid in a while. Out of date, tho... I mean, Harper and the ees-cold-eye recall?

What? Yes... there is a difference between a terribly afflicting deadly virus detected in a meat processing plant in Alberta that WAS processing 1/3 of all the beef in Canada that puts people in their graves and The Hair... he's fookin scarey!

The Americans got it right. They celebrate by getting together and have a wonderful tea party while we Canucks just eat till we can't move then drink 5.5% BEER.
Ad.

Nope, watch parade, stuff ourselves, watch football, drink 4 % beer, rest for Black Friday.

We had a picture-postcard Thanksgiving, doing this hike past Lake Louise to eat our sandwiches where the trail peters out around 2200 meters above sea level. It was snowing there, but down at the lake the cinquefoil was still in bloom (not the golden poppies though). Back at the shack in Field, a modest plateful of baked chicken thighs, roasted home-grown Norlands, and Brussels sprouts. We were thankful.

The Arrogant Worms try to write songs that are funny, but they just end up with songs that are annoying, puerile, and pointless...in my opinion. Not worth hating, mind you. Just annoying to a degree.

(commenting on the link in Jeri's post)

Thanksgiving was great!
