It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following news:

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried
in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their
respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty
Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high
with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who
never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but
his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart
cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little
flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for
millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane
Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father,
Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasions and
take time to pass it on and share that smile with someone else who kneads it.
tar...

But Peace - Give Tarheel a break. Most conservatives are a little behind the times. Like about a hundred years or so.

No, the one in Ghostbusters was the 'Staypuft' boy.... similar body shape but a different product.

And a sailor hat instead of a chef hat....

Am I sad or what?!

His name was Pop'n Fresh. It was in the original e-mail of this thing that I got some eight or nine years ago, but has since been lost it seems.

A few years back—maybe 20 or 30 years—somebody produced a hilarious short film called (if I remember correctly) "Poppin' Death," which might have been the inspiration for this little report. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pillsbury Company suppressed it because of trademark infringement, but not before it was shown on local TV here in Minnesota. (The company headquarters is in Minneapolis.)

I just did a Google search, and was unable to find any reference to the film. I am not making this up. Could I have gotten the title wrong? I don't think so.

It was a very short film, maybe a minute or so, the length of a typical TV commercial, which it resembled. If it's out there, you ought to be able to download it. I hesitate to describe it, for fear of spoiling the joke, just in case it IS out there. It's essentially a one-joke film.

It's enough to make a person do their crust as the saying goes.
I can feel my self raising to the occasion though.
Best wishes Tar and thanks for the laugh. Mike.

Just read the sad news that Actors Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were married over the weekend.

I have lost the woman of my dreams.

He has to be the luckiest B******d on the planet.

Now that is a REAL woman, perfect figure, a natural beauty and talented.
