I see there is a new festival in Pickering N. Yorks with some great guests. Put not much publicity as far as I can see.

Eddi Reader, Luka Bloom, Carthy and Swarbrick. Eliza Carthy Band, Demon Barber Roadshow, Bella Hardy Trio, Last Night Fun, Less Barker etc.

Seems to lack publicity though.

hmmmmm, same weekend as Saltburn then and not very far away, seems a bit of an own goal.

Looks like a big name line up though.

I suspect it is a way of using the Showground since the facilities look excellent. Bit like Shrewsbury at a guess.

I am happy to anyone who wishes to run a festival - but I would respecfully suggest the marketing might improve.

Dave

I'm less than impressed with the website. It's some sort of message board which requires registration. If people can't just surf in & look then they won't.
Cheers
Les

I hadn't even heard of this festival until now and only found the website by googling. It really is a shame that it is the same weekend as Saltburn which is a good festival. It is only about an hours drive from Saltburn to Pickering so I suppose you could do a bit of each!

The website doesn't work for me, all that comes up is a completely blank page although the header is right.
Any other contact details or web pages?

I tried the website earlier & just got a blank, its up now.

It doesn't list the guests & says tickets are not for sale!

Also, there's no mention of sinarounds, seshes or workshops.

Guess its a audience orientated concert prog, rather than a folk fest of the kind with which I'm familiar

Not necessarily - but since we don't know - we don't know - if you see what I mean. It's also the same weekend as Bradfield Traditional Festival.
