Hi Skarpi. Sounds like you had a good Easter. After checking on yourself, if you need a beer, I'll drink one to you. What will you plant in your garden?

So Skarpi, do you have a basement?
I figure your house is build on permafrost foundations, right? I remember being in Dawson City BC and way back when they first established the town that was the biggest hurdle. How to build the houses on land that never really defrosted.

Yes, the land here in Maine should thaw out in another month or two. We still have snowbanks around the north side of the house. However, the cats are all excited that the birds have come back, and can hardly wait to go out and play with them.

If you know anyone who has one of those scruffy looking ponies, please feed him (the pony, of course) a carrot for me and scratch him around the ears.

Halló, minn vinur. Góður til heyra frá þú, aftur.

(That is supposed to say, "Hello, my friend. Good to hear from you, again.) I don't know if the diacritical marks will show, or if the translation program did a good job or not, BUT it IS good to hear from you, Skarpi!

Isn't Spring wonderful!?

Ást,

kat

Hi Jón,
Read your e-mail this morning at work, thought I'd post here as I've been away too long. Good to hear that the family are keeping well. Take it easy on the road!
Hälsningar
Tony.

Hi, Skarpi, nice to see you posting again. Sounds like your season is not much different than here in Colorado. The trees are greening here, birds are everwhere, and soon the bears will start knocking over my trash container. You are correct- now is the time to plan our gardens. My growing season is not all that long, and I suspect your's isn't either. Got to get those tomatoes in when it's warm enough, but not too late! Two of life's finest moments are to just keep on a-pickin' and a- weedin". Thanks, BlueJay
