I will be singing with the chanty cruise crew at the Boston Folk Festival on Saturday, September 22, and would like to stay overnight so I can go to the festival on Sunday.

Is there anyone interested in putting up (with) a crazy chanty singer?

Hi Naemanson, I'll be doing the same gig. If you can't get something closer & you don't mind the 45 min ride to the North & the company, your welcome here.

Barry

The harbor, just off the end of the Logan Airport runway, has been used in the past.

Yeah rich.....I think that became a popular spot in icy weather. Then again, Logan was popular with Delta flights that thought it was Idlewild leading to that famous Delta slogan:

Delta
We get you there!
We get you there---But where?

I have a foam pad I can use on the floor, Peg. The only problem is trying to get around my recumbent form in the middle of the night. *Grin*

Naemanson, I would give it some thought (and try to find an empty space on the floor--no mean feat!) except I will not actually be home that night until very late (Coven Equinox thing).

Not to worry, Peg. I might have found a place at my ex-girlfriend's house. Thanks anyway.

And there is always Barry's offer as well though I don't know if I can keep up with that old so & so. I couldn't even stay awake with him at Mystic. I put it down to the new parts myself...

Just be careful, Brett, that those who offer you floor space don't ship you out in the morning on a tramp steamer bound for the Chinchaes.

Charley, you keep up with the shanghaing ideas and I'm gonna have you shipped out on the Pink Lady next time she hits Bath!

This gets a little complicated but the only alternative is a simple statement that I won't be going to Boston because of the crisis. Somehow that would seem to convey that I've suffered a loss and I haven't any more than my fellow onlookers and sufferers.

This is the end of our Fiscal Year (US Gov't) and usually it is the worst of times for us. This year some yahoo planned for an air show on September 22 and 23. They expected the air show to draw 160,000 people to the base which means I could not work that weekend. Then they scheduled a base wide power outage for September 29! THEN the WTC/Pentagon tragedy and subsequent crisis closed our base for two days and resulted in closure of the base for two days. The end result is that I will have to work next weekend and will not make it to the Boston Folk Festival.

I would try to make some hunerous comment but I just don't have the heart...

Sing it at work... well, maybe just with your office mates, not the visiting yahoos.
