A million thanks in advance and all that.

Okay, here's the problem folks: My sister has a grade one class in Ontario collecting postcards from around the country to help them with geography, place names, and the like. They have had a wonderful time with it (I visited her class and saw the start of it) but are missing postcards from Nunavut, Newfoundland, and PEI. Cards from elsewhere would be nice too, to help fill out the map some more.

The end of the school year fast approaches so help is needed soon!

If you care to send a postcard to help these young hopefuls learn, include where it's from, and something about what is special about your place, and maybe even that you know me!

Here's the address:

Grade 1
A.T.E.S.
106 Brook St W
Tara Ontario
N0H 2N0

Thanks again!

Peace, Mooh.

Oops, this should be below the line unless you can make something musical of it.

Peace, Mooh.

la-la-la

is that musical enough?

I saw a great map of Oz postcard when I was looking for other cards yesterday, so will send it to your sister's students. To make it fit for today's world, I might just add the Oz govt & Oz Tourism Commission websites.

is it good enough to address it to 'Mooh's sister' or does she call you something else?

sandra

She calls me Mike Crocker, I call her Anne Crocker.

The day I visited her class was amazing. First grade kids are so responsive, eager, and enthusiastic.

Thanks again and again...

Peace, Mooh.

Gee, can't help with Nunavut, Newfoundland, or PEI, but I'll get one off from deep in the heart of Texas.

Once again, i point out that there have been past occurrences of 'projects' like this getting out of hand and postcards keeping turning up for ages.

I think you will find the stories on Snopes.

Yes, Fools, but I don't think our Mooh has suckered us into one...his sister, etc. seems legit to me.:-)

What I meant was that these things can get out of hand - unlikely here, even though most mudcat threads are now 'Googleable' (that's MY word!) and available world wide - past probelms have occured when the information gets passed around, usually by email.

Canada seems to have grown rather a bit - Texas, Washington, Maine, Oz...

To clarify...Their school year ends on the 27th June 2007 and the project will continue until then. No hoax, folks. If a kindly Mud-elf wants to delete this thread after that to address the concerns Foolestroupe mentioned, that would be fine.

It is so cool that folks will respond to such a request. Maybe "what goes around, comes around" and those kids will return in kind someday.

It's a small world, after all.

Peace & thanks, Mooh.
