Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: gnu Date: 02 Jun 13 - 02:44 PM Drives fast in a residential area? He needs a good comeuppance. Spits on people? That is assault. Ditto above except I hope he spits on Keyshawn... I'd pay $ to see what happens next. Fact is, they are both south of the border. And I really don't mind if they stay there unless T-Bone comes to the new Moncton CFL team... The Monc'on Mudders. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Ed T Date: 02 Jun 13 - 04:25 PM Regardless of what citizenship papers they hold, where they live or work, I find it puzzling why people are so interested in the lives of "entertaining" folks? There is a big industry following these folks around to feed information on their transgressions (ruling out that alot of it may actually be "made up crap" or more likely planned and marketing hype put ward to brand these "stars"). When I was a youngster, if they threw a pile of money at me, and told me I was very special, I suspect I would have tried some of the same things these folks do, and pissed away alot of money getting kicks and chasing the other sex (or drugs) for temporary pleasure. Outside of my family, and those directly impacted, I suspect few would have cared? I am very non-interested in closely following any entertainers lives or flops. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Rapparee Date: 02 Jun 13 - 06:18 PM I don't wear tee shirts or caps or put stuff on my car unless I think it's worthwhile. If Coca-Cola or Bieber or the Chicago Cubs want a walking billboard they can pay me or at least give the stuff away for free. (This assumes that my wife approves. Recently I wanted to buy a cap from the Glore Psychiatric Museum that said, "#2 Insane Asylum" but she vetoed it.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: gnu Date: 02 Jun 13 - 08:45 PM I hear ya Rap. It's like, who is the crazy one here, eh? |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Jack the Sailor Date: 03 Jun 13 - 01:10 AM The people who pay to advertize are pretty nutty. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Ed T Date: 03 Jun 13 - 03:58 PM I rarely buy new cars. But, I did a few years ago. There was a logo of the selling company affixed to the back bumper. After I negotiated a best price, I told the salesperson that, once I owned the car, I would require five hundred dollar fee per year off that price, to be paid in advance for three years advertising charge if their company logo stayed on. I added that, if they could remove it without damaging the finish, I would reverse those charges. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: gnu Date: 04 Jun 13 - 07:03 AM No logo on mine. It strikes me as odd that few people know this has a leagal meaning. Such was done in olden days to alert all to the fact that the vehicle was not yet paid for. To remove such carried penalty. My first weehicle was a 74 bug. $1400... $100 a month, no interest. The day I unscrewed the stainless steel sign of the dealership's name and tossed it in the trash was a good day. I had a lotta fun with that rig. Ice, snow, backwoods mud... it could handle it all and ya couldn't kill it with a stick. If I had Bieber's coin, I'd have me another. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Mooh Date: 04 Jun 13 - 08:12 AM These entertainer freaks can fuck up all the time but show a hint of insincere contrition or fake repentance and all is forgiven and they're held aloft as survivors or leaders. The guy on the street fucks up once and he's branded a loser and shunned. Same people passing judgment. Wait...maybe I just need a coffee. What gives? Peace, Mooh. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: gnu Date: 05 Jun 13 - 12:43 AM You give. By your post, you have shown that you understand the the poor schmuck on the street and that makes a difference in my books. Some twerp like this golden boy doen't deservrve your attention or time. Pay him none. I don't. I'd rather talk about me Bug. Anyone else had/got a cool "bug"? |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Jack the Sailor Date: 05 Jun 13 - 10:19 AM Currently Bieber has reached the tipping point where he is being hounded and ridiculed way beyond the point where an average Joe would. Jimmy Kimmel made fun of his hat and called him Elmer Fudd last night. I don't have much sympathy for Beiber, he does need to grow up some. But the media fickleness and silliness is more childish than any one person could ever be. Hounding people in crisis and exacerbating their mental issues, even as a media member should be a felony. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: gnu Date: 06 Jun 13 - 08:15 AM I agree... except for the hat. |
Subject: RE: BS: Beiber pride of Canada From: Jack the Sailor Date: 06 Jun 13 - 11:41 AM The hat was bad, but not Fuddish. :-) |
