Subject: BS: Bush brings people together... From: InOBU Date: 08 Apr 04 - 09:59 PM I have to hand it to him, after a thousand years and more, George Bush has brough Shites and Sunis together in a way undreamed of todate. Sunis are sharing food and even blood supplies with Shites, and more, both are a new market for US goods. It was reported today that the Suni militia is using US made hummers and weapons which we gave to the Iraqi security forces... a great advertising ploy... so, just as the Vietnamese are drinking Coke and wearing Levis... the Iraqis are shooting M-16s... if only they'd not point them at Americans... that is the one part of the peace and unity plan GWB seems to have overlooked... Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: mack/misophist Date: 08 Apr 04 - 11:14 PM This man Amos is talking nonsence! I have been a bum at times in my life and may be one again, some day. And I will fight to the death any person who likens me to bush in any way but biology. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: InOBU Date: 08 Apr 04 - 11:45 PM This is why I never call anyone a bum... you may wind up insulting the best folks in the world by association with the rifraff in the Whitehouse. See ya on the road, mate, Larry |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: dianavan Date: 09 Apr 04 - 03:25 PM How the hell did Bush convince the Japanese to send military forces in the first place. Send troops or we cut off the beef? |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: Metchosin Date: 09 Apr 04 - 03:29 PM Actually the Japanese were quite upfront with their reasons for sending a contigent, their administration said point blank, it was to secure their oil supplies and to assure continued trade with the US. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: GUEST,pdc Date: 09 Apr 04 - 03:31 PM The saddest part of the whole Japanese issue is that they only sent 530 troops, and they are all in non-combat reconstruction positions. The Iraqis may be cutting off their own noses, etc. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: Little Hawk Date: 10 Apr 04 - 05:23 PM We couldn't possibly all be descended from Noah. It's a ludicrous idea. The interesting thing is that there are similar legends of a great inundation in many other cultures all over the World besides the Judeo-Christian, and ALL of them mention various heroes or just plain lucky people who rode it out in boats, on rafts, or on mountaintops. There was not just one Noah and family, folks. There were a great many Noahs and their families in many different places. As to what caused the worldwide flood...probably a major atmospheric change that caused a far denser atmosphere than the present one to condense a vast amount of water vapor in rains that went on for a long time. The resulting flooding could well have killed the majority of the Earth's population at the time (and the majority of animals and plants) but it definitely didn't kill everyone EXCEPT Noah and his family. A brief digression. Now feel free to return to the theme of Bush achieving unity in Iraq. I think he oughta get a Nobel Prize of some kind for this. Not even Saddam could do it. - LH |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: Blackcatter Date: 10 Apr 04 - 05:34 PM Let's not all feel sorry for the Japanese. They're over there because of the oil, same as we. The people who are actually there volunteered, just like our men and women. Once again - feel sorry for the average Iraqi - especially the women - they're the one's getting screwed. Instead of being re-elected presidient, maybe we should chose to may Bush "Chancellor" That way he could rightfully follow the footsteps of Hitler. |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush brings people together... From: dianavan Date: 11 Apr 04 - 01:12 AM Nevermind Noah! Its been genetically proven that we all have a common, African mother. Noah was recent history compared to her. |
