90% of life is just showing up. So when I broke a dinner date with the girl upstairs out of sheer exhaustion and a sense of danger, it turns out that her father held my lease. Yep, I got evicted from home and office. I was the unkind cad, and she was quite vindictive. It's better to err on the side of kindness.
