Subject: BS: Montreal Summit/Climate Change?

I just happened upon a Brittish report about this Montreal Summit & this is the 1st that I've heard or read about it. For those not from the US,. Has this been widly publized in other areas of the world & to those here in the US is it me who's out of the loop or is it a case of the governments' view that's causing a lack of reporting or are Americans as a whole not very concerned about the climate & this summit which is being toted as the most important since Kyoto, in which for we showed no decent support for. Thrusday it appears that the US delagate walked out saying if it walks like a duck & it....., so the Canadains went out to buy him a bunch of plastic ducks. I suppose to insult him? Why are we against standing up alongside of 127 countries of the 130 in attendance? It seems that Australia, Sudia Arabia & 1 other country are not keen on really getting behind a healthier enviorment either but not near as stubborn as us here in the US?

Barry

Ah, America. The world press has been talking about this for weeks. The New York Times -- which is a foreign newspaper in America -- had a reporter (who knew nothing about the subject) Andrew Rifkin.

I was there. It was depressing.

yours,

Peter T.
