Has our Tone [trust me I'm just a regular guy] found his gonads at last. If I had not seen it with my own eyes I would never have believed it, there he was on telly telling immigrants that if they wish to come to the United Kingdom, they must abide by our laws, and conform to certain standards.
As we have had an open Border since Labour and their PC cohorts came into power, his statement means very litte, since there are hundreds of thousands here now who most obviously live by their own laws, and care little for the general law of the land.
Much too little, very definately much too late......

Tony will be ok doing the US lecture circuit with Cherie after he's out of office.He's been the US puppy dog for years-what do the US hold over the UK? Are we still in debt to them after WW2? Tony will be ok-check the Swiss bank account if you can. betcha can't.
Taxpayers must identify people like him and Baroness Thatcher prior to election and simply not vote for them.
The next choice is Gordon Brown- want him? Really like him? Want him? No, Do really you want him?
Or the other smooth little wanker from the Conservative Party?
Try Independant MPs, it's not a perfect solution but may, I say may, create an acceptable alternative.

So he speaks about tolerance being a fundamental British value - but he limits his attack on those who fail to share those values, and who therefore do not deserve to be British, to would-be immigrants.

He ignored the presence among us of people who would boast about being British since for ever, but who do not share those values. He didn't take the opportunity to balance his remarks about would-be immigrants by saying we'd be much better off without those kind of people as well.

Unfortunately intolerance and bigotry are as native to Britain as tolerance and understanding. And the people who are comfortable with their intolerance and bigotry are going to use Blair's lopsided comments as a green light for spreading their version of "British values".

The sad thing, Bunn, is this: I bet no matter who you elect, Tories or Labour or anyone else, you will get the same corporate agenda shoved down your throats (big surprise!)...because money talks and parties obey.

That's exactly what's happened already, in fact, in your last election. You who voted for "Labour" didn't get what you voted for at all, did you? You got the opposite of what you voted for.

It's a clever $ySStem they've got going...one which your vote cannot do a damn thing about. The same is true in the USA and Canada. The various political parties are simply different heads on one corporate beast...with one basic strategic world-wide policy.

Searched for "Blair" and this was the only thread I came up with. Seems appropriate, because they almost found Blair's balls in a heap of wreckage in Miama, Florida:

Resetting the altimeter is an easy enough job to do on a plane, I'm told, and once that's done the ground can come up to meet you mighty fast. So I was wondering if anyone had a reason to off Tony Blair. Isn't he, like, totally loved in England? The airport in Miami doesn't spare the candle power, so this thing looks fishy.

I agree- most fishy. Thanks for being so on top of things. I can't think of anyone who is in a better position to inform and educate than you, so one of these times I'll let you in on the REAL truth about the dangers of asparagus, cooked as well as raw. Even the design of asparagus is symbolic.

Florida IS a Bush state (Jeb Bush). That's why this story is so curious. Does Blair know too much to live? Did "the family" make Blair an offer he couldn't refuse (a party with the Bee Gees), then kill the runway lights when his plane was landing in Miami? It does indeed look odd.
