hi Sandra, what a year of change and challenge you've had! leaving the workforce, having and defeating an unexpected visitor called "c", and through it all maintaining your good humour and composure.

This will be a wonderful year for music at your folk club the Loaded Dog - thanks, Sandra, for all the work you do bringing music to us sydney folkies!

Last night I found out that your birthday was on Thursday (when I thought it was Sunday) so HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! but some of us hairies and scaries will be meeting up for lunch on sunday to celebrate!

thankyou - another unexpected birthday greeting - 2 of my former colleagues remembered (& I have no idea when they have birthdays!)

Yesterday I bought 2 books as a To-Me:From-Me pressie & might go shopping again today - for shoes & towels - but just might slip in something else.

On my birthday day I had a celebration at Craft Group - I took along the yummy date scones from the nearby cakeshop, a friend brought a birthday cheese (I don't like sweet stuff like cakes) & I blew out a candle atop this delicious Brie & scoffed cheese & scones. Next day a former colleague gave me a bunch of flowers & card when I met her for lunch.

Friday we had a singing session to celebrate my 57th birthday & John Warner's 59th birthday (he's occasional Mudcatter Jack Halyard) with at least 59 chorus songs. Wot a night - we sang 63!!

Today I had lunch with other folkie friends (no songs tho, alas) but good company & tucker.

Wot a great birthday!
