Be sure to mark your calendars to listen to Rick's radio show, this coming Monday, the 11th and the following Monday, the 18th as well. Here's a link click here. It starts at 7pm Mudcat time.

On the 11th, you can hear our own Big Mick and Jed Marum, with Rick, live in the studio. What a trio, eh?!! You can read more about that in the "Beef Brothers" thread.

The following Monday, the 18th, our own Justa Picker will be in the studio, live, playing along with Rick. Now, I've heard JP and his pickin' is not to be missed! The only thing I can't figure out is why he hasn't produced a CD for us, yet!**BG**

Break a leg, ya'll, just not yer strings! These are gonna be GREAT shows!!

Rick, I gotta' tell you that I've had some conversations with this Flywheel guy and he's serious! After I read some of the Beef Brothers thread I knew that this guy was not to be taken lightly. Believe me man, if he contacts you, lie, deny, and make counter allegations........or just sell out Jed and Mick.....whatever works......

Bob and Glenda, I put the link in the first posting of this thread. It is a station at the University of Toronto, so you have to use the link, in order to listen to it over your computer. Rick's show starts at 7pm Mudcat time on Monday, the 11th and every Monday after that, usually. In the mentime, if you follow that link and then click on "Listen Live" you can hear other programming on that station.

It worked fine yesterday! Dammit! Have just left a number for the station manager that we all want to know what is going on, 'cause it's not working. I have Jenellen on the line and we tried the studio, too, but no answer. Will call at the top of the hour and ask Rick or Heather "whadup?" Can't believe the SKA people wouldn't answer the studio line!

It's probably not CIUT, or at least not the station manager.

I did a search at VirtueCast, and they nothing came up for "ciut" or "CIUT," and I swear I found them there before. This is the page. I think we're screwed for tonight.

Spaw, it goes from CIUT to VirtueCast, then to us. Something in there's hosed, but it might not be CIUT.

Kat, the only people at the studio at this time would be Rick, Heather and their guests.

Yeah, Jeri, I know. Jenellen and I got to visit with Marion and we went live with Rick. Got to hear about 30 seconds of the show, while on hold. Figured it was the only way to hear it! Dammit! Oh well, not their fault, sounded like fun. Hope next week it works when JP's there!

Well damn if I just didn't get another call from Flywheel and he was mad as hell because he wanted to settle with Jed and Rick tonight on the show but since he couldn't get it and his members couldn't he passed on the idea and now is threateneing action again. I guess all he wanted was a song from Jed, but now that's in the dumpster and it looks like he's going to court. He ranted at me for half an hour like I could do something about it! Hellfire, I told him I couldn't get the show either and to take it up with CIUT! I said if he sued them he could include us too.......Do all the bigwigs at CIUT wear "Mouse Ears?"

Well, I tuned it in on the radio. It was a terrible show, you didn't miss anything. Yeah, yeah that's it terrible.

Actually, it was one of the best I've heard. They played some of Jed's CD, it sounded great, Mick did a nice version of "The Dutchman", Rick did a tribute to Dave Van Ronk and played some of the finest blues guitar that I have ever heard. Justa Picker did a variation on "Doc's Guitar". Rick and Heather were their usual entertaining selves.

Justa Picker is the guest next week. You should try again, he's a very good player.

Sorry the thing didn't work (again) folks. Yeah, actually I thought it was one of the better shows. A bunch of catters went over to the Tranzac later and we chatted and picked and sang some. Fine time was had by all. Someone taped the show, and perhaps we might be able to get it to Mudcat...it seemed quite well balanced. Got a shitload of photos. Mick or Jed will display them somewhere.

Actually, Mick's version of "Dutchman" was among the best I've ever heard. Which leads me to ask (& don't ask me why I didn't think of it while I was there) - do Mick have a CD out at all? And if do, how does one abtain it?
