Subject: BS: The Least Among Us... From: saulgoldie Date: 24 Dec 11 - 01:54 PM "Someone" has pets. And I have been focused a lot about how humans treat animals. Pets as well as what is on the dinner plate. Something about "how we treat the least among us." It also pertains, of course, to our treatment of our human brothers and sisters. The young, the weak, the broken, the elderly. Anyone want to suggest how some of the political pronouncements of the day demonstrate or don't demonstrate "how we treat the least among us?" I do not think humanity has much of an exemplary record on either score. Saul |

Subject: RE: BS: The Least Among Us... From: katlaughing Date: 24 Dec 11 - 03:57 PM No, thanks. I prefer to focus my energies on looking at the more positive aspects of humankind, such as in THIS THREAD. Or, on what this young man, one of the greatest orators I've heard in years, has to say HERE and I can guarantee it is WELL worth the listening. He speaks for about 35 minutes then takes questions for almost an hour. Every bit of it is worth listening to and speaks greatly of humanity - kindness and no kindness...the whole thing is electrifying and inspiring. In Peace & Goodwill, kat |
