I am one episode from the end of this futuristic little horror romp. I have noted the music editor: Murray Gold and the writer: Russell T. Davies. New names to me.

Emma Thompson is bloody brilliant as a Trump (or Palin) -like charismatic leader who you never know what she will do next, lacking in everything but self-confidence.

The show has some characteristics of "Black Mirror" but is slanted more to a "this stuff could be happening right now" political slant that Black Mirror nailed with "The Waldo Moment" of several years ago.

Curious as to if anyone has seen it or has a reaction to it.

Is it considered leftie or just overall "this is how bad things could get with enough chaos generated in the world. Because that's how I take it, dark forces taking advantage of chaos and terror.

It's kept me watching when the weather's great outside, so that's a sort of endorsement....

My wife thought it was very good.
I avoided it because, from the few scenes I caught when wandering into the living to find things,
it looked too much like a drab soap.
With that level of acting.

I'm very probably wrong...

Even though Emma Thompson is a very skilled actress - it is not enough to entice me to waste time I could be shouting at the telly when Boris or Jeremy or Jeremy start lying. Even with the sound off (pun intended) I can tell they are lying - their lips move.

Art has to overplay real life for effect, and overplaying in the current political climate is bordering on the assinine (sic), or over the top.

How do you overtop the over-the-top?
