I decided to watch Apple TV's interpretation of Foundation. In anticipation I reread the book as the last time I read anything by Asimov must be more than 50 years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and even remembered some bits :-) Now enjoying the TV series but it's nowt like the book! The basic premise is the same but, so far, the story lines and even some characters are as different from the original as chalk and cheese. Don't get me wrong. It is really good. The production and acting is great. Effects are spectacular. But Asimov's Foundation it just ain't.

The more I get into it, the more different from the original it is. Still very enjoyable but 2 different stories really

I must say though I fancy the female Gaal Dornick in the series much more than the male one in the book :-)
