Subject: BS: Uk TV series - Brassic From: Dave the Gnome Date: 21 Oct 24 - 04:20 PM One of the best I have seen for ages. Hilarious, crude and tragic in equal amounts. Bunch of misfit petty crooks in the fictional North West town of Horley (read Chorley in Lancashire). Pretty good soundtrack too :-) Highly recommended. |
Subject: RE: BS: Uk TV series - Brassic From: DaveRo Date: 21 Oct 24 - 05:26 PM The title Brassic is the colloquial pronunciation of "boracic" as in boracic lint, a medical dressing, the name of which is Cockney rhyming slang for "skint" (i.e. having no money).(From Wikipedia) |

I just discovered BBC sounds, and am deeply enamored of You are dead to me and The infinite monkey cage, which have panels consisting of an expert (in history and science, respectively), and a comedian. Entertainingly educative. Radio, not tv. |
