Would anyone be able to help me with the lyrics to the French song "Jolie Faye" written by Charles Sawtelle and Michael Doucet? They recorded it on his album Music From Rancho De Ville (2001). It can be heard here

Normally I like to try and give a starting stab of what I've got, but French eludes me.

Sadly, Mr. Sawtelle, whose solo album this cut appears on, passed on in 1999. He was one of the original members of Hot Rize and is still one of my favorite Bluegrass guitarists.
