On Sunday, October 1, 2000 John Forster will be our live in studio guest on the TRADITIONS program on WFDU. WFDU is at 89.1 FM in the Metro NY NJ CT area or on the web at www.wfdu.fm. We air from 3-6 PM ET.

John Forster is a satirist in the mold of Tom Lehrer, a composer of children and family music who works closely with Tom Chapin, and has had his works produced Off Broadway and is now working on a musical based on Eleanor Roosevelt.

His CDs have satirized subjects from National Anthems for emerging nations to driving through Mass. and seeing the signs there(Entering Marion). From Robert Moses to Paul Simon.

I have the "Entering Marion" CD (especially nice since I grew up in that general vicinity). His roast of Paul Simon is an absolute classic. Check this guy out as soon as you have a chance. Other tunes include "Way Down Deep (You're Shallow)" and "Co-dependent With You."
