Unless I have my dates wrong (always a possibility with me), today is the day we celebrate our own Janie's birth!

I think she is away with her family for Thanksgiving (which would explain why she didn't answer the phone when the birthday carolers called).

So, I thought I'd shout it from the virtual rooftops:

Thanks guys and gals for your wonderful well-wishes!   Wasn't on the 'Cat much this weekend and am just seeing this.

Just home from spending four lovely days in the bosom of my family. Good company, good food, good music, chocolate cake that my sister had enough sense to not set afire with 56 candles, West Virginia won and has a good shot at the National Football Championship bowl game, The Tarheels won a tough tournament game against BYU, was able to buy gas in Virginia for less than $3.00/gal, and to top it all off, a Birthday Thread on Mudcat!

I calls that a humdinger of a birthday and full of good portent for the coming year.

Thanks again to all of you, and warm thoughts and good wishes right back at you.
