Hi Mudcatters, I Have the words to a Cornish / Westcountry song 'Cor / Gor bugger Janner / Jacker' taken from a recording by Ian Marshall, I don't think it is an OLD song, first heard round the 60's? but the version we have is missing a verse that we recall as having a mention of Plymouth Hoe in.... anybody out there can help? Gor Bugger Jacker heard up this way (zummerzet). But don't remember no Hoe, although Oggies on Trees chorass got to be Kernow song originally 'sno. John the Fish/Brenda Wootton rings vague bells, but will check my Wurzels collection!

In the Fleet Air Arm we always tended to combine the song with "I know where that blackbird be , and I be after 'e " as they seemed to go together rather well , whilst the "Oggie! Oggie! Oggie! " etc , was the cry of the supporters of the Fleet Air Arm field gun crew .As to Jagger or Janner , I always say "Cor ! Bugger I , Jagger , " if I meet Gideon (if'n you know who I mean , Lucy !!) .

Regarding the many songs concerning one`s origins and reference to anal sport, e.g. " I be Dorset I be buggery" I have always heard it sung with a chorus reminiscent of this:-
