Subject: BS: Earth Hour - anyone participate? From: GUEST,Texas Guest Date: 31 Mar 08 - 03:50 PM Just wondering here, folks: I received an email a short time back and didn't get to opening it until this afternoon. It turns out that the note was "time sensitive" and at this time is useless; however, I did click on a link which sent me to a youtube.com video clip about an "Earth Hour" where an organization of folks were asking people, cities, corporations, etc., to stop using electricity for one hour - 8 to 9pm on March 29th. The video listed several cities around the world who had vowed to participate; but, other than this email I heard absolutely nothing about Earth Hour from the news, on line or from friends. Did anyone participate? Did anyone know of this in advance? Was ther anything posted on Mudcat? Just curious. Cheers. |

From: GUEST,Jack the Sailor Date: 31 Mar 08 - 03:54 PM Yeah, We turned off all the power in our house except for the TV and DVD player and watched "Tombstone" Two hours of darkness instead of one to make up for the power were burned watching the film. I don't think the city participated. Certainly the street lights stayed on. |
