Subject: irish rebel songs? From: verreycken@senators.senate.be Date: 25 Jun 99 - 03:39 AM I'm looking for the text of some Irish rebel songs, f.i. on the one road and highland paddy, sung by the Wolf Tones. Can someone help me out? Please e-mail me. Thanks! Rob. |

Subject: RE: irish rebel songs? From: Martin _Ryan Date: 25 Jun 99 - 08:53 AM There's lots of 'em in the Digital Tradition database. Try putting @irish rebel in the search box at the top right of this screen. Come back if there's not enough there for you! Regards |

Subject: RE: irish rebel songs? From: Wolfgang Date: 30 Jun 99 - 09:52 AM They're both not in the database yet but have been posted. A Forum search with 'highland paddy' and 'on the one road' entered under 'subject' will help in both cases. Wolfgang |

Subject: RE: irish rebel songs? From: The_one_and_only_Dai Date: 01 Jul 99 - 08:52 AM I believe protocol deigns that any song becomes a provo song when any words are substituted for 'F*ck the Queen', and similarly (and ecumenically) a Loyalist song when the same words are substituted for 'F*ck the Pope'. I've often been moved by the sheer vitality of the Irish musical tradition. |
