Subject: Dylan's early guitars From: bubblyrat Date: 07 Feb 09 - 12:35 PM Several consecutive programmes on BBC television last night featured the early work and performances of Bob Dylan, ie at Folk Festivals in 1963,64,and 65.I noticed that he seemed to have some quite basic guitars in those early days, even whilst becoming well-known,including one with a metal "fish-tail"instead of a fixed (pin) bridge....it sounded pretty bad, too, although one of the Martins was a honey ! Does anyone know what he played in those days ?? |

Subject: RE: Dylan's early guitars From: Girl Friday Date: 07 Feb 09 - 01:16 PM We spotte Bob playing a small Gibson.. possibly a Grand Auditorium, Both he and Joan Baez played this guitar in the programme, and it looked like the one she used in later years. Are we right? |
