i have had a plea from a friend to try and find her a decent housing agency or something in london. she wants anywhere but north london and something that dosen't cost the earth.

any ideas, or anyone looking for a tennant i would be grateful for any information.

Twrry might be persuaded to entertain an offer on his property, but, I would assume it would take a lot of persuasion.

It's a matter of effort and money. Is she private, or wanting a council exchange? After the Thatcherite reductions in council house stock decent council accommodation is like gold dust, and thanks to the recent wave of repos, rents are on the rise (supply and demand, see?).

When a relative of mine recently moved to Londin, the trick was achieved by spending an entire forthight non-stop trawling the internet, badgering estate agents, and tramping the streets.

How desirable a tenant is your friend? I know a nice little flat in Nottingham (no, not Mottingham, Nottingham)!

i have to be honest it is a freind of a freind. but i still would like to help her. i will have to ask alot more questions before i recomend her to any of you though. i was thinking more in the region of a decent agent that won't rip her off.. too much.   they always do.

i have asked her to come on here and ask for herself and to tell you abit more about herself.

thankyou so much for your suggestions already and i have passed on the questions to her. something which i forgot to do until you lot stopped me from diving in and letting you all down.

i hate to see anyone in trouble.
