Subject: BS: Full Monty plus 25? years as TV series From: keberoxu Date: 12 Apr 22 - 08:23 PM No, I'm not making this one up. Check out this publicity photograph from this very year, 2022. Original Series coming soon to DisneyPlus UK And here, twenty-five-or-so years on, are the persons in the above photograph, from left to right: William Snape, Paul Barber, Robert Carlyle, Hugo Speer, Steve Huison, "Dave's Wife" I don't remember the actress's name, and "Dave" himself, Mark Addy. Tom Wilkinson wasn't present for the photo op, but he is said to be included in casting for this series. No, the men are NOT going to strip down to their altogethers!! Sorry. But the series is going to see how these Northerners are getting on with their lives, all these years down the road. Peter Cattaneo, whose experience directing the award-winning movie has made for some controversy, has NOT been asked back, they are doing this without him. Who else is coming back, though, includes Simon Beaufoy, the original scriptwriter, and Uberto Pasolini, the original producer. Mind you, there are other names -- publicized elsewhere -- who are going to do the actual writing, but Beaufoy will oversee things in terms of developing characters and plot. I have never heard of DisneyPlus UK, though. |

Subject: RE: BS: Full Monty plus 25? years as TV series From: keberoxu Date: 19 Jul 22 - 08:56 PM Too bad about Hugo ("Gentlemen, the lunch-box has arrived") Speer. He has been kicked out of the sequel series to the Full Monty. There are allegations about nakedness. It does make one wonder if being cast in the Full Monty did something to Speer's, um, common sense? |
