To round off a sad week in the entertainment world, the great Mexican actress Katy Jurado has died at her home in Mexico. Following a career in Mexican films she came to Hollywood as a columnist and was soon starring in American films. She had roles in such classics as "High Noon" (1952); "Broken Lance" (1954); "Trapeze" (1956); "One-Eyed Jacks" (1961) and "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" (1973) to name but a few. Born in 1927 she was married to Ernest Borgnine from 1959 to 1964.

I can still remember the Movie Star bubble gum cards I used to collect when I was in (I think) 5th grade. Katy was one that stands out in my mind. Beautiful lady in her youth and she remained a great character actress. Loved her in High Noon.
